Ok - so, our newest project - or you could even call it "Rural Development"....our 121 year old farmhouse.....needed a "few" trees removed. Only problem - one of the trees was about - oh - say about 60 feet tall. These pictures don't even do it justice but, you can see how much taller it is than the house and how little we are! Cayden and I hooked a huge rope up to my Grandpa's good ol' pickup truck and drove it down the block just in case it started to fall into the house. Matt notched it with the chainsaw until it started to fall. Doesn't sound too scary - however, if you were there to see that it would have probably done significant damage to our house not to mention - Matt if anything went wrong. AND THE FACT THAT WE HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE?????? No worries - all is well. We were successful!! You should have heard that tree fall though....two people in the town (one in his truck and another on his 4 wheeler) came rushing over to make sure everyone was ok. (Love small town life - someone gets shot in Wichita and no one shows up) It was pretty awesome! We are ready to do it again!!!
