All dressed up.....

Me and my handsome husband....don't worry - he did put his tie on before we left.....;)

Me, my handsome husband and some guy we picked up wandering aimlessly around the hotel bar...just kidding. This is Tim Bryan and he is one of our best friends. We both have known Tim for many years - he knew us separately in our past lives...kind of ironic how this fairy tale worked out. You won't find a greater guy than Tim.....one of those friends that even if you don't see him for awhile - you pick up right where you left off. We had a great time together - Thanks Tim!!

The beautiful Colorado scenery....

Just some pictures that I took while we were driving around......the last picture is Laurie's favorite view....it is pretty awesome to see.....just driving down the highway. It was so beautiful there.....

Sightseeing in Colorado

The view from Uncle Mark and Aunt Laurie's backyard....just beautiful...if you look close - you can see the mountains...

We visited the Red Rocks...absolutely beautiful!! If you haven't heard of them...they are amazing to see. They form a natural amphitheater where people come and perform concerts.....

Here is Aunt Laurie and Mom trying to show us how people work out by running the "stairs/bleachers" at the amphitheater.......I think they were explaining to us how it hurts their knees.....love you ladies and I bet you didn't know I got these pictures....I am kind of sneaky....

Colorado Miscellaneous....

Carlee - the first night

Carlee - the second night

Breakfast with Aunt Laurie (we had dinner with Uncle Mark, Alison, Adam and Aunt Laurie the night before - it was great to see them!)

We were trying to find Mom a new man....we didn't have any luck!

Convention in Denver

We went to a Law Enforcement convention and these are just A FEW of the things that they had at the Colorado Convention Center. The amazing thing is that all of this stuff was on the second floor.....everything you ever wanted to see for Law Enforcement.....

Carlee's first plane ride.....

Carlee and I went to Colorado with Matt for a Convention he was attending....the older kids had to stay home and go to school.....we were sad that we couldn't all go - but, we did have a good trip! Carlee was awesome on the flight....except she doesn't like strangers taking her picture...hehe

Last day in the boat for 2009!

The older kids were with their other parents so, Carlee, Matt and I snuck out to Cheney for one last trip around the lake. It was a beautiful day....as you can see - water was a little too cold for Carlee! The last day is always bittersweet......

Anyone ever seen a squirrel trap?

Cayden has built our first squirrel trap. If you look closely, the bait is a small dried up corn cob. It works like this...when the squirrels eat the corn, this would activate the daggers that are attached to the tree by shoestrings and they would fly down and stab the squirrel and he would fall to the ground and land on the all the sticks and spikes sticking out of the ground and he would die.

I don't have anything to say about this except he is 100% his father's son. :)

Little mommy.......

I am amazed everyday at Carlee's mommy instincts at such a young age. I mean, most little girls play with dolls - but, she really has a strong mothering instinct. Just warms my heart! Our sitter/friend, Alyson says she thinks the baby there (6 months old) is her baby. She has started trying to feed her crackers and gives her a sippy cup.....Alyson has her hands full......

This is what I find Carlee doing much of the time - taking care of her babies. I think she is the winner on who is going to take care of us when we get old............

On your marks, get ready, get set - POTTY TRAIN....(kind of)

Ok - so, this is not something you see everyday - but, if you are a parent or a 2 year old...it's pretty exciting. Hope we don't gross anyone out - but, it's "potty" time at our house....

Now, in all reality - this was the first and has been the last of our celebrations. I think she just loves her diapers with Elmo on them and is so excited to put them on that she doesn't want to get rid of them. She is however, starting to change her own diapers! I will spare you all the pictures - but, tonight she came out of her bedroom with no diaper and you can guess what was all over her. I went back to her bedroom and there was her diaper on the floor with wet wipes stuffed inside - she obviously thought she had got it all...she was wrong. Can anyone say bath time? Ahhh....the joys....
