My favorite time of the year.......
Halloween 2008
Ok...this year we had a flower, a "Diva" witch and a Zombie.....
We had a VERY VERY VERY busy day!! Parties and
costume parades at school and then home to trick or treat. Cayden spent this Halloween with his mom but, the girls were with us. This year, Cyvannah's dad went with us too - we had a great time and Vanna loved that her whole family was there. We just hung out with my brother and sister and their families. We ate chili and cinnamon rolls and then hit the streets! We couldn't keep up with Vanna - she was totally into getting as much candy as possible and Carlee was just amazed that strangers would just hand her stuff. After she figured out that it was candy - it was game on! She would get her own candy out of the bowl - and actually would go back for more and more after getting one piece out. She would put it in her bag and then wave good bye! It's fun to watch the older ones run nonstop to fill their bags and it's just as fun to watch the amazement and excitement of the young ones figuring it all out. The last picture is the ride home from my brother's that takes all of 5 minutes. I think this was 2 minutes into the trip...we had some tired kiddos.
I love it all.....Happy Halloween everyone!!

Here comes Peter Cottontail.....
After falling asleep during the pumpkin carving....I got up about 12:30am when Matt came to bed and took a shower. Then realizing how wonderfully quiet the house was - I turned on the TV to one of my favorite shows - CSI (Matt hates this show because he can't believe how they can just miraculously solve these complex cases in 1 hour). I sat on the couch in my pjs and finished knitting this little hat for Carlee. I just love it!! Didn't get to bed until 3:15am - but, the hat was done, kitchen was clean and I had my sanity back! Ha!

Look how we've grown....
Wanted to show you the pictures from last year compared to this year....they change so fast. Makes me sad.......
Fun at the Pumpkin Patch.....
We went to the pumpkin patch on Friday because the kids were out of school. We decided to try a new one in Burns, KS. It was so much fun - well worth the drive. We will definitely go back every year. We ran out of daylight and didn't even get to do all of the things there was to do....the kids all had a blast and I suffered some injuries as usual. On my way down the underground slide (the kids talked me into going down on my stomach because it was so cool and you felt like you were going to crash but you really wouldn't!!!)...I decided to drag my hands along the rubber bottom of the slide....kind of resembles a rug burn. Not fun. I felt like I was 5 years old again though....almost peed my pants I was laughing so hard! Sorry Mom Jensby...the gourd pictures were irresistible - it still makes me laugh! There was a large air trampoline the kids jumped on and a pumpkin canon that was hooked up to an air compressor that launched a pumpkin about 500 yards. It was awesome. Matt says he is going to build one. GREAT. There were pumpkin sling shots and pedal cars. Just lots of stuff - the kids had a blast.....this is definitely for everyone...
Weirdo.....
Yes....those are my underwear. Carlee likes to put my underwear around her neck and walk around......not sure where she gets that. Cyvannah did the same thing when she was little.....I have pictures of her too somewhere and I have no explanation for it.
2008 Maize Fall Festival
We went to the Fall Festival las weekend and had a lot of fun!! We went to the Carnival rides on Friday night and then the parade and craft fair and games on Saturday. The kids had a great time and the weather was perfect!! Carlee had her first lollipop and she LOVED it!! Just a mushy side note....this was where Matt and I met 4 years ago....ahhhh......love is in the air!!!

Pictures for daddy....
These are some pictures that I took for Matt for a gift for his office. They built a new City Hall this last year and moved their offices. It is really a nice building! I took these pictures in the underground parking garage.......
These are the new police cars that he designed for Maize. They are really cool....Dodge Chargers. He did a great job!!
My first wedding cake........
I did include some pictures of where they had the reception. It was the coolest place!! It was a Catholic church here in Wichita, but, they had a separate banquet facility that was like a little Italian village - literally. It was so very neat. What a romantic place to have a reception...it was just beautiful!! The pictures really don't do it justice.....
Our last trip to the lake this year.....

Our last weekend at the lake....we took the kids to Cheney this weekend and decided to try out one of their little cabins. Little is right - they were pretty cozy!! It had bunk beds and a full size bed and a shower and toilet. The kids had a great time roasting hot dogs and marshmallows! It was a quick getaway and we had fun. We took our boat out and fished a little bit - mom and dad could have spent more time doing that - but, we don't have little fishermen. They had ants in their pants to get back to make a campfire - so, we had to leave. It was nice and mild with a cool breeze in the evening.....we will miss the boat this winter!
PS - The pictures of the boat were taken from my camera phone. I am just amazed at our technology these days. Just set the self timer on my PHONE and jump into place....amazing!
